The first time I lost an important document at work, I promised myself that I would start backing up my work. I would burn a couple of CDs every once in a while, but my backups were random at best, It wasn’t until years later that I finally found a simple backup solution: the internet.
Now the internet has emerged beyond its limit and the latest in storage is cloud storage. Clould storage is nothing but having our own space to store documents online. Its that simple, cost-effective and secured.
There are dozens of backup providers today that use the internet to provide users with simple online backups. These backup providers store your information on remote servers so that if anything happens to your home computer, your files are not lost forever. Whether you’re a student or working professional, an online backup plan is worth considering.
Online backup is the best solution for backing up work because it is easy to use. Other traditional backup methods require manual work (burning DVDs, transferring files to USB drives) but online backup tools automatically back everything up for you. This is a huge benefit because backups are only worthwhile if they are executed regularly.
Backup solutions have to be user-friendly to be worthwhile. If a backup plan is difficult to implement or time-consuming, you’ll end up neglecting your backups. For that reason, usability is just as important as security. That is why I now use the internet for all of my backups.
There are three online backup tools in particular that I recommend:
1. Backblaze
Backblaze is the simplest and cheapest online backup solution of them all. With this backup tool, you get unlimited storage space tied to one computer for as low as $3.96 per month. This unlimited space account only works for one computer, but you can back up as much information from that computer as you want.

You can look at this as a bare-bones backup solution. Backblaze is really good at what it does because it focuses on one thing: automatic backups. If you need a second home for your important files, Backblaze is the first place to visit.

2. SugarSync
SugarSync costs a little more than Backblaze but it comes with many more features and can be used on as many computers as you want. The pricing plans are based on total storage space, and from there you can back up and sync multiple computers from a single account.

File syncing is where SugarSync shines. This backup tool gives you the ability to create a sync folder on your local desktop and on every other computer that you use. Every file that you save in that sync folder is automatically backed up online and copied to every other computer. This feature comes in handy for writers, bloggers and working professionals.
3. ZipCloud

ZipCloud occupies a sort of middle ground between Backblaze and SugarSync. Like Backblaze, ZipCloud uses the unlimited storage space model. However, ZipCloud also comes with a few gigabytes of extra storage space for file syncing between multiple computers.
If you like file syncing but don’t need all the extra features that come with SugarSync, ZipCloud is a cheap alternative. Unlimited backup plans cost $4.95 a month and cover one computer. ZipCloud also has a 14 day free trial that you can use to try the service before you buy.

4shared and fileshare can be alaso. right?
Yes, can be. But I mentioned backing up of your office/personal work, not those crappy torrents and cracked files
