[How To] Use CloudFlare As Your CDN and Speedup WordPress Blog (Free)
CloudFlare CDN like technology is one of the safest and reliable free/paid commercial content delivery network technologies on the internet. You can Speedup your WordPress blog using CloudFlare CDN-like technology. One of the greatest and easy to configure technology of CloudFlare provides is, you don’t need to install or setup anything on your WordPress blog, instead redirect your name servers to CloudFlare name servers, that’s it you are done. Your blog will be supercharged with rocket engine and loads faster than you expect.

So, Here in my today’s blog post I will show you guys how to configure your WordPress blog to run and load faster using CloudFlare CDN like technology that too free!!!. CloudFlare uses a CDN or Content delivery network-like infrastructure to deliver the best in performance to your WordPress blog. As you all know the faster page load times will keep your visitors online longer. Also CloudFlare’s famous caching mechanism will save blog owners CPU and bandwidth resources so that, you won’t get notification from your hosting company saying, your blog eats 50% of our servers resources.
Ok, Let’s start.
1. To Start with CloudFlare you must register yourself and your blog. To do this visit CloudFlare website and signup. Once signup is done confirm your email ID and login to your account in CloudFlare website.
2. Now Visit this page https://www.cloudflare.com/your-websites-initial.html to get started. Here you need to add your blog’s home page url under Step 1: Enter Your Domain. (Refer to the image below) and click on Add this Domain button.

3. CloudFlare will start scanning your DNS setup (50-60 secs) and once the DNS info is collected you will see Continue to Step 2 button activated. Click it and continue to step 2.

4. Step 2 of 4 Check Your Missing DNS Records: In this step CloudFlare let you confirm all the DNS settings which its recorded in previous step. Carefully check for any missing or wrong information obtained. If you find anything wrong click on edit next to the settings and fix it (if you are not sure about those settings and IP address contact your host and ask for help). Once you feel all settings and DNS records are ok, click on the button I’m done checking my DNS records, continue bellow.

5. Step 3 of 4: Configure CloudFlare: So far, Your DNS zone file has been copied to the CloudFlare infrastructure. CloudFlare made a group of Your DNS records by categories. Check all the records for accuracy and if you feel everything’s ok then click on My settings look good, continue button. If you are not sure about those records and IP address check with your hosting company they will provide you in details.
6. Step 4 of 4: Update Your Name Servers: This step is very important, you must do it carefully so that your name servers are updated to CloudFlare name servers. To do this you need to login to your hosting account and update it. Ask your hosting company’s help if you don’t know how to do it.
Below settings are for iPage hosting only, if you use other hosting service your name server address are different.

Once your Name Servers are updated, click on I’ve updated my name servers, continue button to finish the wizard.
7. : done. You will see a confirmation message saying “Congratulations!, You’ve completed setup for your blog”

Now you have completed configuring your WordPress blog in to CloudFlare free CDN service. Name server update might take 12 to 24 hr. Once the Name Server update is done, you will see improved performance of your website.

Thanks for the great info! I am curious if you have had any problems by using Cloudflare with Ipage? For some reason, I have a huge problem with redirects to my wordpress install when ever I make a bunch of changes to my site. I cannot help but wonder if anyone else has had the same experiences.
